Last November, voters resoundingly rejected an attempt by New York Democrats to significantly weaken the integrity of our elections. Those measures would have turned the redistricting process partisan, permitted same-day voter registration, and allowed no-excuse absentee voting. However, instead of respecting the will of their constituents, New York Democrats in the State Legislature are acting to ensure a continuation of their one-party rule by creating a system that doesn’t just allow voter fraud but actually encourages it. When combined with other policies, such as New York City’s soon-to-be enacted non-citizen voting law and the state’s “green light” law, it becomes very clear just whose hands New York Democrats want our future elections to be in. And that’s why, this November, voters will send a message loud and clear that they are done with the crooked and corrupt system of one-party-rule that has kept New York Democrats in power for so long.
